Science is the knowledge attained through study or practice; knowledge as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding. Science is my favorite subject to learn about and study. Particularly, biology, the study of life and living organisms including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy, is my all time favorite class. I am so interested in science and biology that my senior year, when I did not even have to take a science, I took advanced placement bio. My favorite topics in biology are the human body and genetics. I enjoy learning about the brain, the heart, the lungs, and also genetic disorders; how things are passed on. Weird combination (yeah I know) but they are both so different and both so interesting. Science has always been my favorite subject throughout school but recently it has been all I think about. For example, if I have homework I always see myself doing my bio homework first and taking the most time on it. In bio, my notebook is very, very organized and I take good notes. I am always paying attention and I love doing labs. I do try really hard in that class and I do study even though my test scores on the greatest I still learn, study, and try really hard. Science through out the years has gotten me interested in the medical field. When I was younger I always wanted to be a teacher and work with children but learning about science and all the cool new technology, now I want to be a doctor, and help children. Another thing is with science, there is always something new; new technology, cures, techniques, etc. Science is just an overall great study and I enjoy it very much.
You feel about science as I do about English. That's why I feel so blessed to be an English teacher; my work is my hobby.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't realized how much you liked science until I read your blog. You did a really nice job explaining why and how science, especially bio, is your favorite discipline!
When you learn about cool stuff, could you please pass it along through your blog?
