My first visit with my sponsor was amazing. It was so much fun and I learned so much. I only stayed for an hour but it felt like I learned so much in that hour.My sponsor, Dr. Wetzler, is very funny and he is a fast worker. I also noticed that he had a bond with everyone of his patients. No matter what the circumstance was Dr. Wetzler and his patient were laughing and enjoying their time together. I could tell that my sponsor really enjoys his job and enjoys helping people.
Also, Dr. Wetzler has two other interns or understudies who are training to be orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists. They are very nice as well. They are also extremely helpful. Dr. Wetzler is a fast worker and goes from patient to patient within minutes and for me, not knowing anything about the field, it is hard to follow and understand. Therefore his understudies explain everything to me with models and pictures. They make everything clear and easy to understand.
Dr. Wetzler also is going to try to get me in to see a surgery sometime soon. I am very excited. Yesterday went so well and I can't wait until next Thursday.
